Benten is the goddess of the sea and of good luck and is venerated by business people, geishas, actors, and musicians. Women would often carry her image to enhance their beauty and talents. She was my inspiration when I was asked to design this spa kit and branding package for a local retailer. I designed the logo to complement the relaxing feel of a spa and I chose to use Japanese wood block paintings for my imagery to marry that feeling to the spa kits, creating an overall calming effect for the entire package. I designed both a Women’s Kit and a Men’s Kit for this project.
